We got a text from our bishop today saying that everything was submitted to Church headquarters yesterday. Nothing left to do for now except wait for "the envelope" to arrive.

Things are progressing rapidly. It has only been five days since we submitted our completed application to our bishop and it is already to the Stake President. This evening we met with President Moore. He predicted (prophesied?) that we would be called to Australia to work with the French speaking sessions in the temple! We'll see. He also said we may start getting calls from the missionary committee surveying us to get a feeling for where we should go. We would love a French speaking assignment. We know President Moore was just kidding but if he is correct we will be probably be saying things like "Bonjour Mate"!!!

After 41 years of teaching we have decided it is time to change professions. Rather than retiring FROM something, we want to retire TO something; something that we have been planning to do together for a long time. We had our interview with Bishop Jason Hunt about 3 week ago, got busy on paperwork, physical and dental exams, and on January 1, 2016 we hit the submit button.
